📢We’re Hiring: Accountant | UAE
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting operations, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, WPS, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Handle month-end closing and support preparation of financial statements and management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Apply appropriate revenue recognition principles for prepaid memberships, packages, and subscriptions.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile membership management system reports, including collections, refunds, discounts, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and subsidiary ledgers for stocks and consumables.
- Process UAE payroll and WPS, including salary reconciliations and preparation/review of WPS files.
- Ensure accurate VAT accounting and reconciliations and support VAT returns and UAE Corporate Tax compliance.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accounting records using Zoho or similar ERP/accounting software.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Use Excel for financial analysis and reconciliations, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, auditors, banks, customers, vendors, and other external parties.
🎓 Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
💼 Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Experience in a gym, fitness centre, hospitality, or other high-volume membership/subscription-based business will be an advantage.
